It is stated that a bi-communal event will be held in front of the Home for Cooperation (H4C) in the buffer zone on the occasion of the International Peace Day (1 September).

 The event will be organized by several unions, such as the Pancyprian Federation of Labour (PEO), Turkish Cypriot Federation of Revolutionary Workers Union (DEV-İŞ), Turkish Cypriot Union of Public Employees (KTAMS), Turkish Cypriot Secondary Education Teachers’ Union (KTOEÖS), Municipality Workers Labor Union (BES) and Cooperative Workers’ Trade Union (KOOP-SEN).

It is also stated that as part of the celebrations of the International Peace Day, there will be a concert by Maria Faranduri and Zülfü Livaneli at Çetinkaya Stadium on 18 September, in addition to the event at the Home for Cooperation
