16 June, 2015US Ambassador to South Cyprus John M. Koenig and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Mayor of Lefkosa Turkish Municipality, Mehmet Harmancı yesterday.
Relations continuing with the Mayor of South Lefkosa Greek Cypriot Municipality Yorgacis, works towards opening of alternative crossing points and the possible joint projects were discussed at the meeting.
Contribution of President Mustafa Akıncı for the solution of Cyprus problem was also discussed during the meeting.
Expressing that a new motivation for a solution has occurred in both communities, Mayor Harmancı said there are still many complicated issues to be overcome regarding the Cyprus problem.
