Greek Foreign Minister refuses to drink coffee with his Turkish counterpart in Cyprus

7 March, 2016Expressing his hope to solve the Cyprus issue in the near future, Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs and the Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır described the current stage as “The most appropriate time for solving the Cyprus problem.”
Within the framework of his US contacts, speaking at German Marshall Fund think tank in Washington, Bozkır said “The Cyprus issue is more solvable than the Syrian crisis, Ukraine and Palestinian problems. There is a real chance to reach a settlement in Cyprus within this year.”
Furthermore, Bozkır added that they wish to reach a settlement based on bi-zonality, bi-communality, and political equality.
