Akıncı: Resumption of negotiations possible “if Greek Cypriot side corrects their mistake”

14 March, 2017Simerini, a Greek Cypriot newspaper recently published a survey about the approval of legislation related to the “Enosis Plebiscite” by the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives.
The results showed that 64% of Greek Cypriots believe the approval of legislation related to the “Enosis Plebiscite” was “wrong.” According to the survey, 45% of respondents believe that Cyprus negotiations have failed.
In response to the question, “Who is responsible for the failure of negotiations?”, 14% of participants answered that the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives was to blame with 4% blaming the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades and 3% responding “all”.
In answer to the question, “Should the historical developments in Cyprus be forgotten in order to resolve the Cyprus problem?”, 78% of participants answered “no”.
