10 May, 2017The short film titled “Ordinary Trials”, directed by Doğuş Özokutan and Vasvi Çiftcioğlu, continues its success in being nominated for awards, having been nominated in 41 international film festivals.
The film was recently nominated for the “Leiden International Short Film Experience”, which is will be organised for the 9th time in the Dutch city of Leiden.. The Dutch premier of the film will be held on Sunday 14 May.
This year, 1281 films from 80 countries have applied to the festival (LIFSE) and 151 films were elected for display. LIFSE will be held between 14-15 May this year.
The World Premier of the film was held in the US in April 2015, and the film will be displayed at 41 international festivals in 24 different countries, together with its Dutch premier. “Ordinary Trials” was first and only Turkish Cypriot short film to have won an Oscar, totalling three international awards – two from the US and one from Brasil.
