7 June, 2017The short film Sedirin Gölgesi (In the Shadow of Cedar), directed by Turkish Cypriot Müge Günay about embargoes on the Turkish Cypriot people will be screened at the Twin Lion International Short Film Festival in Mumbai, India, on 7-8 October. The festival will host leading names in the world of cinema as well as Indian directors and actors.
Speaking to a TAK reporter, the Director of the film Müge Günay explained that the film was about desperate migrations caused by the embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people. Günay stated that, through this film, she aims to shed light on the inhuman embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people. She has submitted her film to numerous international film festivals for screening and competition.
