16 October, 2017The recently identified remains of Martyr İsmail Bekir will be laid to rest today at the Boğaz Martyrs’ Cemetery following noon prayers at the Göçmenköy Mosque.
İsmail Bekir’s remains were identified by the Committee on Missing Persons and were recovered as part of excavations carried out at the Tekke Bahçe cemetery in Lefkoşa.
The remains of Yusuf Ahmet and Müesser Kemal which were lost in the 1960s have also been identified as a result of the Committee on Missing Persons’ recent excavations and were laid to rest with military ceremonies at Tekke Bahçe cemetery.
