12 December, 2017TRNC Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu will attend the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Extraordinary Summit in Istanbul on Wednesday. The summit has been called by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to address US President Donald Trump’s decision last week to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The Summit, which will be held hosted by Turkish President Erdoğan, will commence with the convening of OIC Foreign Ministers and continue with further meeting among the Heads of State and Government.
Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu will also attend a luncheon following the summit, which will also be hosted by Turkish President Erdoğan in honour of the leaders present. Foreign Ministry General Director Kemal Köprülü will accompany Minister Ertuğruloğlu during his visit. Ertuğruloğlu is expected to return to the island on the same day.
