TRNC tourism promoted in the Netherlands

15 January, 2018Speaker of the Assembly Sibel Siber has received a delegation from the Municipal City Council Union of Hungary. In her speech at the reception, Siber said that international contact, cooperation, and mutual visits provide positive contributions both to the countries themselves and towards efforts for global cooperation and peace.
Siber emphasized that the inhuman isolation that the TRNC has faced for many years cannot be accepted in any cultural or social relationship. Visits such as that of the Municipal City Council are therefore of great importance and value for the TRNC. Siber added that it was important that the delegation share their experience with their counterparts in the TRNC.
Siber also stated that it would be beneficial for the promotion of the TRNC as a destination for tourism if the delegation reports back to Hungarians about the historical and natural beauties of the TRNC. Lastly, Speaker of the Assembly Siber said that she hoped the visit would be fruitful, and expressed her firm belief that mutual visits will continue into the future.
