8 March, 2018Presidential Spokesperson Barış Burcu has said that Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Hristodulidis’s statement that President Mustafa Akıncı refused to meet with Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades socially does not reflect reality.
In his written statement, Burcu said “President Akıncı publicly stated his desire many times to meet face to face with Anastasiades, to understand his intentions, and conveyed this to the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative to Cyprus, Elizabeth Spehar”.
