18 October, 2018Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay has informed the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly regarding “TRNC and Regional Developments”.
Minister Özersay stated that Cyprus issues being discussed at the first meeting of the Foreign Affairs Commission has great importance. Noting that the members of the Commission will have meetings on very different platforms in the following process, Özersay said that Turkish Cypriots have been excluded from the world therefore it is very important to convey our messages, demands and sensitivities through the members of the Commission.
Özersay said “As the TRNC, we want to look at the future confidently. I want to stress sincerely once more that the relation between Turkey and the TRNC will continue as two seriously allied countries and we will shape our foreign policy with Turkey which is always a strategic partner and supporter of the TRNC”.
