24 December, 2018The martyrs who were killed in the Greek-Greek Cypriots attacks on 24th December 1963 in the Kumsal district of Lefkoşa were commemorated today (24th December) at the Museum of Barbarism Martyrdom.
The ceremony was held in order to commemorate the 21st – 25th December, Struggle and Martyrs’ Week.
On that day of 24th December, a Greek officer with nearly 150 Greek Cypriots attacked the region where the wife and 3 children of Major Nihat İlhan, Erdoğan Rifat, Tuncer Hasan, Muhip Hüseyin, Aziz Güner, Mustafa Hasan, Mustafa Mehmet and Feride Hasan were martyred.
