26 December, 2018Lost martyr Hüseyin Ruso whose remains were found after 54 years is a symbol for the Turkish Cypriot existence struggle and the Küçük Kaymaklı region.
Ruso was a teacher and he was 28 years old when he was killed on 25 December 1963 during the attacks of Greek Cypriots against Turkish Cypriot civilians in the Küçük Kaymaklı region while trying to resist against the attacks.
Following the funeral prayers at Küçük Kaymaklı Mosque, Hüseyin Ruso was laid to rest at the Martyrdom in Küçük Kaymaklı where he was murdered 55 years ago and also has a monument.
