11 February, 2019Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman stated that the Greek Cypriot Administration Leader Nikos Anastasiades tries to show the Turkish Cypriots’ demand for political equality as a major obstacle to a solution in the island.
President Mustafa Akıncı and Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman held their regular weekly meeting yesterday (7 February 2019).
In his statement to the press following the meeting with Akıncı, Erhürman stated that Anastasiades’ demand for a meeting with Akıncı was also discussed and added that he hopes that Anastasiades will clarify his new ideas, which he constantly expresses, at the meeting that will take place most probably towards the end of February.
