Reaction from Turkey to the Greek Cypriot Administration regarding arrest warrant issued for the crew of drilling ship Fatih

11 June, 2019In his speech during yesterday’s session (10th June) of the TRNC Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay pointed out the action of the Greek Cypriot Administration regarding issuing a warrant for the arrest of personnel of the Fatih drill ship and said “We do not approve this approach of the Greek Cypriot side”.
Furthermore, Özersay stressed “The sides have some claims at the disputed areas but this should be resolved by peaceful methods. If this issue continues, some precautions will be taken. We are following the issue closely. We are in cooperation with Turkey”.
