5 August, 2019Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay issued a message regarding 1st August “Communal Resistance Day.”
In his statement through his social media account, Özersay stressed “We are celebrating the anniversary of 1st August Communal Resistance Day, which represents our first settlement and taking root in Cyprus through resistance and struggle. Our future is as important as our honourable history. We will continue existing in this land with our own identity and will not give up.”
