26 April, 2021President Ersin Tatar gave a special interview to “Kathimerini” newspaper which is published in Greece. In his interview, Tatar made evaluations prior to the informal 5+UN meeting to be held in Geneva.
Underlining that the Turkish Cypriot people are as sovereign as the Greek Cypriots on the Island, Tatar said that both sides have their own free self-government adding that the Turkish Cypriot side will never accept a federation thesis which will go to a unitary state.
Pointing out that as with all of the sides, Turkey and the TRNC will find the opportunity to express their own thesis in Geneva, Tatar said that as the President of the TRNC, he will express his views at the 5+UN meeting.
