23 June, 2021President Ersin Tatar gave a farewell dinner in honour of German Ambassador Franz Josef Kremp, who is about to complete his term of office.
During the farewell dinner President Tatar pointed out to the Ambassador that it is necessary to start official negotiations on the basis of sovereign equality and equal international status of the two sides on the island for peace, stability and cooperation in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean adding that the Turkish Cypriot side is ready for negotiations on the ground that the Turkish Cypriots have acquired rights.
The President also wished the German Ambassador, who will retire soon, good health and well-being in his retirement.
