Tatar: “We support Azerbaijan”

21 September, 2023President Ersin Tatar, who is in New York for the 78th United Nations General Assembly meetings met with the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Hüseyin İbrahim Taha.
During the meeting at the United Nations Headquarters, Taha was accompanied by Deputy Secretary-General Yousef Mohammed A. Aldobeay, Director-General for Political Affairs Mohamed Salah Tekaya and Director for Asian Affairs Ahmed Sareer, and Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mustafa Lakadamyalı, New York Representative Mehmet Dana, Counsellor Osman Ertuğ and First Secretary Çağrı Kalfaoğlu were also present.
Tatar briefed the latest situation in the Cyprus problem and the position of the Turkish Cypriot side and stated that the Turkish Cypriots, who have been living in Cyprus for about 5 centuries, have the right to self-determination and expect the concrete support of the Islamic World.
