21 December, 2023Martyrs who lost their lives during Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for existence are being commemorated with ceremonies within the framework of the ‘21-25 December Struggle and Martyrs Week’.
The commemoration events started today with a speech by Captain İbrahim Kutay from the Security Forces Command at 8:00am on Bayrak Radio and Television.
Two commemoration events were held in the capital Nicosia today.
The first ceremony to mark the occasion was held in front of the Lefkoşa Martyrs Monument. Then, the Martyrs Commemoration Programme was held at the Lefkoşa Atatürk Cultural Centre.
Commemoration ceremonies will also be held due to the 21-25 December National Struggle and Martyrs Week in the districts.
