4 April, 2024President Ersin Tatar reacted to the statements made by the leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Nikos Christodoulides on the 69th anniversary of the start of armed actions by the terrorist organisation EOKA and said that the Greek Cypriot leadership once again showed that the Greek-Greek Cypriot mentality has not changed and is still chasing impossible dreams.
President Tatar called on Christodoulides to respond positively to the Turkish Cypriot side’s calls for dialogue and solution.
Emphasising that a just, lasting and sustainable solution to the Cyprus issue is based on the existence of two sovereign equal separate States, Tatar said: “It is also essential to recognise our sovereign equality and equal international status”.
