5 April, 2024TRNC President Ersin Tatar addressed a meeting at the Hudson Institute, one of the leading foreign policy think tanks in Washington DC, the capital of the United States of America.
Briefing the participants on the negotiation processes aimed at finding a compromise on the Cyprus issue, President Tatar emphasised that the isolation policy of the Greek Cypriot leadership, which has been unjustly and illegally imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people, should end.
Answering the questions of the participants, President Tatar stated that a new and official process in the context of the Cyprus issue can only be initiated after the confirmation of sovereign equality and equal international status.
