Ertuğruloğlu: “President Erdoğan has once again strongly emphasized the vision based on two sovereign equal states in Cyprus”

Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu expressed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which reaffirmed strong support for the vision on the Cyprus issue, was welcomed by the Turkish Cypriot people.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu expressed that the call of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the international community to recognize the independence of our state, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and to establish diplomatic, political, and economic relations, as he did in his speeches at the 77th and 78th General Assemblies, has provided strong support for our vision in the national cause.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu stated that President Erdoğan, in his speech, once again strongly emphasised to the international community that the vision based on two sovereign equal states in Cyprus is moving forward with determination.

The Minister said, “I extend my deepest gratitude to President Erdoğan for his strong support of our national Cyprus cause, which aims to see the TRNC take its rightful place within the international community.”
