President Ersin Tatar received Colin Stewart, Special Representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General in Cyprus and Head of the UN Peacekeeping Force, whose term of office will end on 9th August.
In a statement following the meeting at the Presidential Complex, President Tatar stated that he had always been open and clear with Colin Stewart, noting that he had seen Stewart working in goodwill to assist both sides over the past four years and thanking him for his services.
Colin Stewart, for his part, stated that he had a very pleasant farewell meeting with President Ersin Tatar and thanked him for his continued cooperation and solidarity.
