Ertuğruloğlu: “Sovereign equality lies at the heart of our national cause”

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu emphasized: “Sovereign equality, two neighbouring states, and equal international status constitute the essence of our national struggle.”

Ertuğruloğlu remarked:

“For six decades, the recognition of the Greek Cypriot side as the so-called ‘Republic of Cyprus’ has condemned the Turkish Cypriot people to a futile process with no chance of success. Perceiving ourselves as obliged to prove our legitimacy to those who have wronged us only to weaken, rather than advance, our national cause.”

He further stated: “We must never lose sight of who the candidates are that refuse to become instruments of these unjust and insidious agendas.”
