42nd anniversary of TRNC to be celebrated with ceremonies

The 42nd anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is being celebrated with ceremonies and events across the country.

The celebrations commenced yesterday with a speech by President Tufan Erhürman at the Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, followed by a 21-gun salute. Ceremonies were subsequently held at the mausoleums of Dr. Fazıl Küçük and Rauf Raif Denktaş.

Tomorrow’s program will begin at 08:45 with a reception hosted by President Erhürman. Wreaths will be laid at the Atatürk Monument in Lefkoşa, followed by a moment of silence, the national anthem, and the signing of the Special Monument Book.

The official parade on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard is scheduled to begin at 10:00 with inspections and greetings. Flags brought from Lefke and Erenköy will be presented to the President, and speeches will be delivered by President Erhürman and the representative of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.

The ceremony will conclude with a performance by the Mehteran Unit of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense and the official parade.
