24 December, 2025Minister of Labour and Social Security Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu attended an international conference titled ‘Protecting Children in the Digital Environment: Modern Tools and International Cooperation’ held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The conference was organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs, with participation of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child.
According to information released by the Ministry, Hasipoğlu delivered a speech at the conference titled in which he emphasized that protecting children’s rights in the digital age is a universal responsibility, Hasipoğlu said: “Even though we may be isolated, digital threats know no boundaries. Solving these problems is only possible through national, regional and global cooperation.”
Within the framework of the conference, Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Minister of Labour and Social Security representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; Bahar Muradova, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Republic of Azerbaijan; Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye; Naima Ben Yahia, Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family of Morocco; Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Social Development and Family of Qatar; Zahra Pezeshkian, Head of Iranian Delegation, together with Azerbaijani officials, signed the “Joint Declaration on the Protection of Children’s Rights in the Digital World.”
