Öztürkler in Baku for OIC Parliamentary Union Conference

Speaker of the Assembly of the TRNC, Ziya Öztürkler is in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, accompanied by a delegation to attend the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States and to hold a series of official meetings.

According to a statement issued by the Assembly, Speaker Öztürkler was welcomed at Haydar Aliyev International Airport by Cavanşir Feyziyev, Chair of the Azerbaijan–TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ambassador Ufuk Turganer, the TRNC Baku Representative, and other officials.

As part of the conference programme, Speaker Öztürkler is expected to deliver a address on behalf of the TRNC and hold various meetings. Speaker Öztürkler is accompanied by Hasan Küçük, National Unity Party MP and member of the Assembly’s Presidency Council as well as Şifa Çolakoğlu, Republican Turkish Party MP.
