Minister Ertuğruloğlu continues contacts in Washington

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu met with Turkish Cypriots living in Washington and representatives of Turkish civil society organisations at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Representative Office in Washington on wednesday.

During the meeting, Ertuğruloğlu briefed participants on the Cyprus issue and exchanged views with them on various topics.

As part of his visit, Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Cyprus issue to postgraduate students studying International Relations at Georgetown University, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the United States, and subsequently answered their questions.

He later met with members of the press at the TRNC Representative Office in Washington where he briefed them on his meetings in New York and Washington.

Ertuğruloğlu and his delegation are expected to return to the TRNC today after their their meetings in New York and Washington on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
