Health care services are free of charge for TRNC citizens, or covered by the state payment of a specified amount as set out in the “Health Institutions Fees Tariff Regulation”.

The Ministry of Health is the authorized Ministry for the health care system.

In addition to a number of state hospitals that provide diagnosis, care and treatment, there are many health centers that serve basic health services.

There are also private health institutions in the TRNC.

As there are no dangerous infectious diseases in the TRNC, there is no vaccination requirement for international visitors. All visitors can receive emergency medical treatment in state hospitals. Most international health insurances are valid in private hospitals.
