{"id":138158,"date":"2015-02-24T11:43:43","date_gmt":"2015-02-24T09:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/martyrs-families-condemn-the-european-parliament\/"},"modified":"2015-02-24T11:43:43","modified_gmt":"2015-02-24T09:43:43","slug":"martyrs-families-condemn-the-european-parliament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/martyrs-families-condemn-the-european-parliament\/","title":{"rendered":"Martyrs Families condemn the European Parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Association of Martyrs Families and War Veterans condemned the European Parliament for blaming the Turkish Cypriot side claiming that remains of Greek Cypriot missing persons were moved from their \u00a0bury places in Pa\u015fak\u00f6y.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that European Parliament\u2019s resolution means making policy over missing persons, Association of Martyrs Families and War Veterans called the European Parliament to cancel it\u2019s decision in order to preserve their objectivity in such a humanistic issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his written statement, President of the Association Ertan Ersan stated that it is a clear proof that the EP\u2019s decision is unilateral and the Turkish Cypriot missing persons are not examined under equal basis with Greek Cypriot missing persons in the EU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ersan reminded that on 14 August 1974, 84 Turkish Cypriot men were taken from Ta\u015fkent, Terazi and Tatl\u0131su villages and were boarded on the two busses and killed by Greek Cypriots The area of their bodies were changed because of the road works and taken to a mine, even the bones of these martyrs were broken by a\u00a0 bulldozer.
