{"id":138238,"date":"2015-03-20T12:21:36","date_gmt":"2015-03-20T10:21:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/eu-information-center-organizes-a-panel\/"},"modified":"2015-03-20T12:21:36","modified_gmt":"2015-03-20T10:21:36","slug":"eu-information-center-organizes-a-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/eu-information-center-organizes-a-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"EU Information Center organizes a panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A panel themed \u201cwoman and leadership\u201d organized by the new European Union Information Center and financed by the European Union has been held in Lefko\u015fa Merit Hotel yesterday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking at the opening of the panel, head of Unit Task Force Turkish Cypriot community Alessandra Viezzer stated that the panel is the first activity of the new EU Information Center. Viezzer pointed out that new EU Information Center will operate within the framework of the Financial Aid Program for the\u00a0Turkish Cypriot\u00a0community and it aims to inform Turkish Cypriots concerning the EU and to get the Turkish Cypriots closer to the EU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that women should exist in every field of socio-economic life, Viezzer pointed out that this can be achieved by providing communal gender equality. Adding that EU is the pioneer of communal gender equality, Viezzer noted that founding treaties of the EU prevent any discrimination.
