{"id":139072,"date":"2015-10-16T11:45:38","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T08:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/there-is-no-other-community-which-stayed-out-of-the-solution-and-the-eu-with-no-vote-of-another-community\/"},"modified":"2015-10-16T11:45:38","modified_gmt":"2015-10-16T08:45:38","slug":"there-is-no-other-community-which-stayed-out-of-the-solution-and-the-eu-with-no-vote-of-another-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/there-is-no-other-community-which-stayed-out-of-the-solution-and-the-eu-with-no-vote-of-another-community\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cThere is no other community which stayed out of the solution and the EU with \u2018no\u2019 vote of another community\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 stated: \u201cI don\u2019t know any other community in the world which although she said \u2018yes\u2019 to the solution and the EU membership she stayed out of the solution and the EU with the \u2018no\u2019 vote of another community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 gave the opening lecture entitled \u201cThe Latest Developments in the Cyprus Negotiations\u201d at the ceremony of 2015-2016 Academic Year organized in the Troia Culture Centre of \u00a0\u00c7anakkale Onsekiz Mart University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his speech, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 mentioned the terrorist attacks in Ankara and he said that \u201cif Ankara cries, Lefko\u015fa cries too. If the Republic of Turkey is mourning, TRNC is mourning as well. I share your grief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 explained that many documents were prepared on the issue of negotiations and referendum was held on the island and he continued:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c65 % of the Turkish Cypriots voted &#8216;yes&#8217; in the referendum this means that they said \u2018yes\u2019 to the solution and the EU membership. However 75 % of the Greek Cypriots voted \u2018no\u2019.
