{"id":139087,"date":"2015-10-21T12:18:20","date_gmt":"2015-10-21T09:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/eide-negotiations-cant-continue-forever\/"},"modified":"2015-10-21T12:18:20","modified_gmt":"2015-10-21T09:18:20","slug":"eide-negotiations-cant-continue-forever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/eide-negotiations-cant-continue-forever\/","title":{"rendered":"Eide: \u201cNegotiations can\u2019t continue forever\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UN Secretary General&#8217;s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide stated that there isn\u2019t any specific time table for a settlement, but the negotiations can\u2019t continue forever.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement to the press after the meeting with President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131, Eide pointed out that the leaders are in an intense phase in the process and they agreed to meet more frequently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pointing out that the Cypriots have been negotiating for generations, Eide stated that at present there is a real willingness and opportunity towards the solution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presidential Spokesperson Bar\u0131\u015f Burcu said after the meeting between President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 and UN Secretary General&#8217;s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide that they evaluated the issues concisely and widely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the same time Burcu said \u201cOur commitment and efforts will continue towards a bi-zonal and bi-communal solution. For this purpose, we anticipate a much more intensive work program and more frequent meetings at the level of the leaders in November.
