{"id":139325,"date":"2015-12-16T10:50:35","date_gmt":"2015-12-16T08:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/eide-guarantees-will-be-discussed-at-the-quintet-conference\/"},"modified":"2015-12-16T10:50:35","modified_gmt":"2015-12-16T08:50:35","slug":"eide-guarantees-will-be-discussed-at-the-quintet-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/eide-guarantees-will-be-discussed-at-the-quintet-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Eide: \u201cGuarantees will be discussed at the quintet conference\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"center\">While expressing the hope that a conclusion about the property issue will be reached soon, Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General Espen Barth Eide said that the guarantees will be discussed at some stage of the procedure within the framework of the quintet conference.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Greek Cypriot radio announced that Eide informed the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades\u00a0about his meetings in Ankara.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Eide described his contacts with the officials of Turkey as \u201cconstructive, deep and interesting\u201d on the preparation of the final stage of the negotiations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Eide stated that he had deep and good conversations and that it is part of the preparation for the very final phase, \u201cwhich we don\u2019t know when <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">it<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">will happen but<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> it<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">will happen someday and where the guarantor countries also need to be involved.\u00a0 So, there is serious engagement also from Turkey as well as from the other guarantor countries\u201d, he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Upon a question if there will be a quintet meeting at the final phase, Eide said: \u201cAt some stage that will be part of the process, because it is clear that we need the guarantors to deal with specific issues that pertain to them.
