{"id":140117,"date":"2016-08-12T12:32:08","date_gmt":"2016-08-12T09:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/ozgurgun-i-am-following-the-negotiations-with-concern\/"},"modified":"2016-08-12T12:32:08","modified_gmt":"2016-08-12T09:32:08","slug":"ozgurgun-i-am-following-the-negotiations-with-concern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/ozgurgun-i-am-following-the-negotiations-with-concern\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn: \u201cI am following the negotiations with concern\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister H\u00fcseyin \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn has expressed serious concerns about the Cyprus negotiations, saying that the negotiation process is still dictated by the demands of the Greek Cypriot side.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn made his assessment of the situation during his appearance on a current affairs programme yesterday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Responding to a question about the third tender round for hydrocarbon research by the Greek Cypriot Administration, \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said: \u201cDespite the ongoing Cyprus negotiations, the Greek Cypriot side continues to press ahead with their unilateral actions on this shared resource.\u00a0 Because of this, my concern is that they have no real intentions for a settlement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Underlining that the Greek Cypriot side needs a settlement as much as the Turkish Cypriot side, \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn added: \u201cWe have always bowed our heads and insisted on an agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn emphasised the symbolic importance of ensuring that both the Apl\u0131\u00e7 and Derinya gates are opened simultaneously.
