{"id":140123,"date":"2016-08-16T11:35:41","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T08:35:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/126-martyrs-from-murataga-sandallar-and-atlilar-have-been-commemorated\/"},"modified":"2016-08-16T11:35:41","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T08:35:41","slug":"126-martyrs-from-murataga-sandallar-and-atlilar-have-been-commemorated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/126-martyrs-from-murataga-sandallar-and-atlilar-have-been-commemorated\/","title":{"rendered":"126 Martyrs from Murata\u011fa \u2013 Sandallar and Atl\u0131lar have been commemorated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>126 Turkish Cypriots from Murata\u011fa \u2013 Sandallar and Atl\u0131lar that had been martyred have been commemorated with ceremonies.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech, the Head of\u00a0Murata\u011fa \u2013 Sandallar and Atl\u0131lar Martyrs Memorial Association Ahmet A\u015f\u0131r stated that a fifteen-day old baby and ninety year old elders were among the 126 Turkish Cypriots killed on 14 August 1974.<\/p>\n<p>A\u015f\u0131r said, \u201cWe live in peace and tranquillity thanks to the Turkish army. We do not want to lose these peaceful days. If the Turkish army had not come, all the Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus would have been killed like those in Murata\u011fa, Atl\u0131lar and Sandallar.
