{"id":140153,"date":"2016-08-29T12:29:15","date_gmt":"2016-08-29T09:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/akinci-let-us-bridge-the-divergences-and-bring-clarity-to-issues-which-have-not-yet-been-finalized\/"},"modified":"2016-08-29T12:29:15","modified_gmt":"2016-08-29T09:29:15","slug":"akinci-let-us-bridge-the-divergences-and-bring-clarity-to-issues-which-have-not-yet-been-finalized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/akinci-let-us-bridge-the-divergences-and-bring-clarity-to-issues-which-have-not-yet-been-finalized\/","title":{"rendered":"Ak\u0131nc\u0131: \u201cLet us bridge the divergences and bring clarity to issues which have not yet been finalized\u201d\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next six meetings that will be held with the Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades are of vital importance, President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cLet\u2019s bridge the remaining\u00a0points of divergence on the EU, economy, administration and power sharing and the property chapters and bring clarity to the issues which have not yet been finalized\u201d, stated Ak\u0131nc\u0131.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 also wished to continue to brainstorm ideas on the issues of territory, security and guarantees, and to reach an agreement which would be accepted by both sides and get a &#8216;yes&#8217; vote from both communities in a referendum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said, \u201cI expect the forthcoming process to be discussed accurately and credibly. The Greek Cypriot side should consider what can be achieved and what cannot when approaching these issues.\u00a0We are acting in that regard, in accordance with the spirit of the Joint Declaration.
