{"id":140256,"date":"2016-10-25T11:08:49","date_gmt":"2016-10-25T08:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/akinci-effective-participation-in-the-decision-making-process-is-essential-it-is-impossible-to-make-a-decision-with-a-simple-majority\/"},"modified":"2016-10-25T11:08:49","modified_gmt":"2016-10-25T08:08:49","slug":"akinci-effective-participation-in-the-decision-making-process-is-essential-it-is-impossible-to-make-a-decision-with-a-simple-majority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/akinci-effective-participation-in-the-decision-making-process-is-essential-it-is-impossible-to-make-a-decision-with-a-simple-majority\/","title":{"rendered":"Ak\u0131nc\u0131: \u201cEffective participation in the decision-making process is essential \u2013 it is impossible to make a decision with a simple majority\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The intensified Cyprus negotiations, which aim to find a solution to the Cyprus problem, continued yesterday after a six day break with a meeting between President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 and the Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 made a statement to the press at the Presidency following the Leaders\u2019 8<sup>th<\/sup> meeting in October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 stated that both parties expressed their point of view on the five issues being negotiated. Neither side could work more intensively to reach the 2016 deadline, he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 also explained how to participate effectively in the decision-making process of any federal structure on Cyprus and how important this is.
