{"id":140266,"date":"2016-10-28T10:59:49","date_gmt":"2016-10-28T07:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/harmanci-yorkadjis-and-spehar-met\/"},"modified":"2016-10-28T10:59:49","modified_gmt":"2016-10-28T07:59:49","slug":"harmanci-yorkadjis-and-spehar-met","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/harmanci-yorkadjis-and-spehar-met\/","title":{"rendered":"Harmanc\u0131, Yorkadjis and Spehar met"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lefko\u015fa Turkish Municipality Mayor Mehmet Harmanc\u0131 and Greek Cypriot Mayor of Nicosia\u00a0Constantinos Yiorkadjis met with the UN Secretary General\u2019s Special Representative to Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was held at the Cooperation House at the buffer zone upon the invitation of the UN Special Representative Spehar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the meeting, Spehar spoke to the two mayors about the latest stage of the negotiations on the Cyprus problem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mayors also informed Spehar about the ongoing projects in Lefko\u015fa and emphasized that projects which benefit citizens\u2019 lives should be supported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his statement regarding the meeting, Harmanc\u0131 said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf we are moving towards a comprehensive settlement, local administrations will be most affected by this.
