Prime Minister H\u00fcseyin \u00d6zg\u00fcrtg\u00fcn said that if there is no result in the Cyprus negotiations, then there will be a Plan B for the Turkish Cypriots.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are not at a dead-end; there will be a path forward\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Answering questions from Haber T\u00fcrk TV related to the Cyprus negotiations process, \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said that the sides are not ready for the negotiations to start on 9 January in Geneva.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do not bargain the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus\u2019 territory\u201d \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said, before adding that there are \u201cserious differences between the two sides.\u201d<\/p>\n
Prime Minister \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said that most of the Turkish Cypriots are aware of the importance of motherland Turkey\u2019s full and effective guarantee. However, he stated that the Greek Cypriot side says that \u201cTurkish soldiers should leave.\u201d<\/p>\n
Many things have changed on the island during the 12 years after the referendum for the Annan Plan, \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said, and \u201cnow you cannot say to these people to leave their homes and move to some unspecified location.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn also highlighted that there are some contended points relating to Administration and Power Sharing. \u201cThere are serious problems on the issue of equality. There are many issues which are contrary to bi-zonality. These problems have not yet been solved.\u201d<\/p>\n
