{"id":140445,"date":"2017-01-18T12:16:42","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T09:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/five-party-conference-continues-in-mont-pelerin\/"},"modified":"2017-01-18T12:16:42","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T09:16:42","slug":"five-party-conference-continues-in-mont-pelerin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/five-party-conference-continues-in-mont-pelerin\/","title":{"rendered":"Five-Party Conference continues in Mont P\u00e8lerin\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The five-party conference, where \u201cSecurity and Guarantees\u201d were discussed, continues today in Mont P\u00e8lerin, Switzerland, after a five-day break.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following three days of intensified negotiations that took place in Geneva, the parties agreed to a break in the conference until 18 January, at Greece\u2019s request.\u00a0 The conference began on 12 January with the participation of both sides in Cyprus and the three guarantor countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Turkish Cypriot negotiator \u00d6zdil Nami is heading a working group which is representing the Turkish Cypriot side at the conference.\u00a0The other members of the working group are Presidential Spokesperson Bar\u0131\u015f Burcu, Special Advisor for Diplomacy and the EU Erhan Er\u00e7in, the President\u2019s Legal Advisor S\u00fclen Karabacak, Foreign Affairs Expert \u0130pek Borman and Negotiation Team Member Serta\u00e7 G\u00fcven.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the previous negotiations, the conference is expected to continue at the political level and a final decision will be taken at the end of the month, or in early February, on \u201cSecurity and Guarantees\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greek Cypriot side is attending the conference with a working group of four people, which is headed by Andreas Mavroyannis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkey is expected to be represented at the conference by a delegation under Deputy Undersecretary Ahmet Muhtar G\u00fcn, of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both sides are expected to discuss their recommendations for \u201cSecurity and Guarantees\u201d at the five-party conference in Mont P<strong>\u00e8<\/strong>lerin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The five-party conference, where \u201cSecurity and Guarantees\u201d were discussed, continues today in Mont P\u00e8lerin, Switzerland, after<span class=\"excerpt-hellip\"> [\u2026]<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[19],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-140445","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news-headlines"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/140445","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/9"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=140445"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/140445\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=140445"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=140445"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=140445"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
