{"id":140519,"date":"2017-02-17T12:06:57","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T09:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/akinci-greek-cypriot-leader-did-not-respect-our-sensitivities-and-slammed-the-door-hard\/"},"modified":"2017-02-17T12:06:57","modified_gmt":"2017-02-17T09:06:57","slug":"akinci-greek-cypriot-leader-did-not-respect-our-sensitivities-and-slammed-the-door-hard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/akinci-greek-cypriot-leader-did-not-respect-our-sensitivities-and-slammed-the-door-hard\/","title":{"rendered":"Ak\u0131nc\u0131: \u201cGreek Cypriot leader did not respect our sensitivities, and slammed the door hard\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that\u00a0the Greek\u00a0Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades walked out of negotiations in the buffer zone yesterday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement at the Presidency following his meeting with Anastasiades, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that when the issue of the resolution taken in the Greek Cypriot Parliament marking the Enosis Plebiscite was discussed, Anastasiades stated there was nothing else to say and left, slamming the door behind him, despite Eide\u2019s effort to provide conciliation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ak\u0131nc\u0131 asked Anastasiades at the meeting to clarify his stance on the issue and take steps to rescind the decision to mark the Enosis plebiscite at schools.
