He reiterated that his attempts to reach an agreement continue. .<\/p>\n<p>Ak\u0131nc\u0131 also stressed that the government has no intention of \u00a0giving away their share of any possible partnership state.<\/p>\n<p>In his Medicine Day speech on \u00a0on 14<sup>th<\/sup> March, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that this is the first step towards signing an agreement and that what is most important is that the agreement is maintained. \u201cWe do not want the\u00a0 events of 1963 to happen again. Surely, is there a connection between a culture of peace, federal culture, empathy and teaching Enosis in schools? We want the Greek Cypriot side to correct their mistake. I think that they will find a way to do this and that there are some opportunities in this direction,\u201d Ak\u0131nc\u0131 stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 added that he has obtained authority from his people to reach a bi-communal, bi-zonal solution based on political equality and that efforts towards resolving the issue will continue in this vein.<\/p>\n<p>Ak\u0131nc\u0131 will meet today with \u00a0Espen Barth Eide, Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be held at the President\u2019s residence.
