{"id":140645,"date":"2017-04-11T12:01:08","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T09:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/president-mustafa-akinci-meets-with-political-party-representatives\/"},"modified":"2017-04-11T12:01:08","modified_gmt":"2017-04-11T09:01:08","slug":"president-mustafa-akinci-meets-with-political-party-representatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/president-mustafa-akinci-meets-with-political-party-representatives\/","title":{"rendered":"President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 meets with political party representatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 met with the leaders of the main political parties in the TRNC Assembly to update them about the new negotiation process yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting lasted about an hour and a half, after which the party leaders responded to questions from the media.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement to the press, UBP General Secretary Dursun O\u011fuz said that they are looking forward to a constructive approach from the Greek Cypriot side.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Serdar Denkta\u015f said that they evaluated the latest developments with President Ak\u0131nc\u0131, and noted that Ak\u0131nc\u0131 made clear beforehand that the negotiations\u00a0will continue\u00a0for some time. Denkta\u015f added, however, that, \u201cWe do not agree with his statement that \u201cThe Enosis Plebiscite Decision was withdrawn by the Greek Cypriot Parliament, and this should be welcomed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Denkta\u015f continued, &#8220;It is very clear that the Greek Cypriot side sees us as a minority.
