{"id":140834,"date":"2017-07-07T09:36:05","date_gmt":"2017-07-07T06:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/cavusoglu-unfortunately-cyprus-reunification-talks-have-failed\/"},"modified":"2017-07-07T09:36:05","modified_gmt":"2017-07-07T06:36:05","slug":"cavusoglu-unfortunately-cyprus-reunification-talks-have-failed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/cavusoglu-unfortunately-cyprus-reunification-talks-have-failed\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu: \u201cUnfortunately, Cyprus reunification talks have failed\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a press conference following yesterday\u2019s meeting in Crans-Montana, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu said that the Conference on Cyprus has failed and \u00a0negotiations have ended, as was previously announced by the UN Secretary-General.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu said that Turkey has contributed in various ways during the last 15 years to finding a fair and comprehensive solution for the Cyprus problem, both ahead and during the conference in Geneva last January and the conference in Crans-Montana.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu\u00a0 said, &#8220;The Turkish Cypriot side always did their utmost at the negotiating table to find a fair and permanent solution. Mr. Ak\u0131nc\u0131 and the negotiating team took the same approach as the team who worked during the previous periods.
