{"id":140873,"date":"2017-07-21T11:08:39","date_gmt":"2017-07-21T08:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/ertugruloglu-calls-for-efforts-to-begin-towards-trnc-recognition\/"},"modified":"2017-07-21T11:08:39","modified_gmt":"2017-07-21T08:08:39","slug":"ertugruloglu-calls-for-efforts-to-begin-towards-trnc-recognition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/ertugruloglu-calls-for-efforts-to-begin-towards-trnc-recognition\/","title":{"rendered":"Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu calls for efforts to begin towards TRNC recognition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu has expressed his desire for\u00a0 efforts to begin towards achieving international recognition of the TRNC.<\/p>\n<p>In his message issued due to 20<sup>th<\/sup> July Peace and Freedom Day, Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said that the date 20<sup>th<\/sup> uly 1974 is the date on which the Turkish Cypriot people were reborn, taking the chance to live in security and establishing their own state. Stating that the Government will continue to do its utmost in developing\u00a0 the nation, and that all political parties have joint responsibilities on this issue, Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said the TRNC and its people\u2019s \u00a0interests must be a priority.<\/p>\n<p>Adding that the Cyprus problem should be set aside from party politicking, Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu stressed that all parties should unite around the national cause for the benefit of all our people.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign Minister said that the current status quo is not sustainable and no one is satisfied with , Minister Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said that Turkish Cypriot side is the side which most desires a solution in Cyprus.
