{"id":140888,"date":"2017-07-27T11:39:34","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T08:39:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/olgun-and-ertug-eide-went-beyond-his-authority\/"},"modified":"2017-07-27T11:39:34","modified_gmt":"2017-07-27T08:39:34","slug":"olgun-and-ertug-eide-went-beyond-his-authority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/olgun-and-ertug-eide-went-beyond-his-authority\/","title":{"rendered":"Olgun and Ertu\u011f: \u201cEide went beyond his authority\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"font-size: 17.0pt;\">Former negotiators Erg\u00fcn Olgun and Osman Ertu\u011f have criticized the UN Secretary General\u2019s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide for the statements made on the issue of Security and Guarantees and for \u201cgoing beyond his authority\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"font-size: 17.0pt;\">In a written statement, Olgun and Ertu\u011f called on Eide to avoid making biased statements. They stressed that Eide\u2019s criticisms of the guarantee system, which prevented the island from being united to Greece, are unacceptable.
