He said that the Turkish Cypriot people have asserted\u00a0once more that they are committed to protecting their sacred homeland and the glorification of their republic.<\/p>\n<p>In his message on the 53rd Anniversary of Erenk\u00f6y Resistance, Prime Minister H\u00fcseyin \u00d6zg\u00fcrg\u00fcn said: \u201cThey sacrificed their own lives for the sake of their homeland so that the Turkish Cypriot people could live in freedom.
