{"id":141008,"date":"2017-10-12T14:06:02","date_gmt":"2017-10-12T11:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/prime-ministers-office-considering-the-attitudes-of-the-greek-and-turkish-cypriot-sides-as-being-equal-can-never-be-accepted\/"},"modified":"2017-10-12T14:06:02","modified_gmt":"2017-10-12T11:06:02","slug":"prime-ministers-office-considering-the-attitudes-of-the-greek-and-turkish-cypriot-sides-as-being-equal-can-never-be-accepted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/prime-ministers-office-considering-the-attitudes-of-the-greek-and-turkish-cypriot-sides-as-being-equal-can-never-be-accepted\/","title":{"rendered":"Prime Minister\u2019s Office: \u201cConsidering the attitudes of the Greek and Turkish Cypriot sides as being equal can never be accepted.\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Prime Minister\u2019s office has stated that it is unacceptable that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres\u2019 remarks in the Cyprus report draw an equivalence between the negative attitudes of the Greek Cypriot side and the generous stance of the Turkish Cypriot side.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Highlighting that this report on the collapse of negotiations, issued on 10 October 2017, is no different to previous UN reports, The Prime Minister\u2019s Office stated the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cConsidering the unfair and negative attitude of the Greek Cypriot side as equal to the generous stance of Turkish Cypriot side is unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement also noted that the UN has witnessed the opportunism of the Greek Cypriot-Greece duo, which strategically positions itself against Turkey at every stage of the negotiations including the Crans-Montana Summit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Prime Minister\u2019s Office stressed that Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades\u2019 negative stance regarding a settlement was unacceptable.
